How it works
- Take a test from the tube.
- Dip the tip into the drink and stir.
- Watch the test pads. A colour change means the test has reacted.
What a result means
- The test reacts. A substance on the test panel may be in the drink above the detection level. Stop drinking it, tell staff, keep the drink and stay with someone you trust. Call 999 if anyone feels unwell.
- No reaction. No substance on the panel was found above the detection level. This does not mean the drink is safe. Many substances, including extra alcohol, are not detected. If you or a friend feel unwell, act on how you feel, not on the test.
- Hard to read. Treat it as a reaction and ask staff for help. Some drinks, such as red wine and tonic, can make results harder to read.
What it is not
SpikeStixx is a screening test. It is not a laboratory test and not forensic proof. The detection levels for each substance are listed on the pack and at party-safe.com/evidence.

What does it screen for?+
A set of substances used in spiking. The detection level for each one is printed on the pack and listed on our evidence page. It does not detect everything, including extra alcohol, so a negative result does not mean a drink is safe.
How long does the test take?+
Seconds. Dip the tip into the drink, stir and watch the test pads. The whole flow is designed to fit inside a bar conversation.
Does it replace vigilance?+
No. It is a screening test that supports your own judgement and the venue's existing safety practices. If you or a friend feel unwell, act on how you feel, not on the test.
How does my venue stock it?+

What's the lead-time?+
Two to four weeks depending on freight region. Expedited freight available on request.
What about returns?+
Damaged or missing items reported within 7 days of delivery with a photo are replaced, and faulty in-date tests are replaced if you quote the lot number. Unopened activation kits can be returned within 14 days. Test tubes cannot be returned once delivered.
Is there a minimum order?+
Single box for trial. Wholesale price lists kick in from five boxes.
Is it certified?+
Manufactured to ISO 13485 standards and independently reviewed by the University of the West of England. It is a screening test, not a laboratory test or forensic proof, and we make no claims beyond what the evidence supports.
